Powers and spirits o my. Any living organic character (mechanical, mineral, or undead are invalid) may be signed up. Not all will be chosen.

Chosen characters will be assigned a temporary power and status based on the the provided words. Permanent or lasting effects/harm will not be forced unless the character does it themselves.

Describing words should be things like: helpful, tricky, green, tiny, young, inexperienced, etc
All chosen characters will need to be played at some point in the plot to resolve it.

As characters wake up after falling asleep after 6:24 PM (18:24) on October 11 are having bad dreams, but waking up with new powers. 75% of the town has had this change happen to them.

(Characters in play after start cannot be signed up. Characters not in play still may be but must wait for status assignment before play starts)

Characters waking up after the first time sleeping after this event starts will instinctively know how to use their new abilities if they are activated. And will instinctively have an aversion to their weakness, if external.

All characters have a regret. This regret doesn't effect their waking lives, but it manifests in their dreams. The regret is not something they'll remember conciously, just hinted at through their dreams. Players are free to decide what these dreams are.

A character may have four statuses, and it will effect them as such.

• Not Infected - Normal status.
• Lightly Infected - Have the nightmare once or twice a week.
• Infected - Have the nightmare three or four times a week
• Badly Infected - Have the nightmare five or more times a week

As time wears on the powers are taking their toll on the infected. They will be showing constant signs of fatigue that cannot be cured. These will be mitigated for an hours after sleeping.

• Lightly Infected - A bit drowsy but otherwise functional
• Infected - Low energy, like having heavily worked out.
• Heavily Infected - Very tired. Prone to just dozing off spontaneously like having trouble sleeping.

The effects have ended as the emergy for the spirits has fizzled out. Characters that eased regrets come out unscathed. Those that did not will find themselves highly tired and fatigued for the next days to weeks
