This alternate earth is a spiritually active world. People are composed of three parts, body, spirit, and guide. The guide, also known as a spirit

guide, is an animal based second spirit of a person, there to help guide and assit them in life, normally subconsiously, and guide them to the afterlife

after death. A guide can help strengthen the bond between body and spirit when it grows weak. A guide is invisible to everyone but its person.

Some people are able to see spirits. This includes ghosts who haven't passed on yet, and their own spirit guide. This is a by chance thing from birth.

Several thousand years ago a group of people had developed several methods of communicating with spirits. Others fearing this set war to the people, events

known as the Spirit War. The tactics and results of the war are long lost to history, few relics remain.

In modern times spirit seers are few in number, and most things about spirits and guides are unknown to the average person.

Willowmic was born in the late 1980s on her world. She has a younger sister named Laine. The two of them grew up in a typical household of the time. Their mother worked at a local school in the cafeteria, her father was a traveling buisnessman and thus frequently was often away from home. The family worked well togehter though and when they could they would do activities together. This was how Willowmic got her love for the outdoors, camping and boating with the family.

Willowmic had a pretty uneventful life growing up, baring her grandparents passing away. She had friends who she enjoyed hanging out with. She never took up an interest in school sports, prefering the wilds sports. She has developed decent skills at sailboating, hiking, camping, and rock climbing over the years. Willowmic has had a close attachment to animals. Her family got a pet dog when she was young, and she was broken up when they had to put it to sleep last year. She works at the local animal shelter when not in school. Helping take care of animals and presenting them to prospective owners. With her passion in wildlife and animals Willowmic enrolled in veternary classes, following a dream of becoming a veternarian at a zoo.

A few weeks ago she encountered a relic from the spirit war, known as a spirit grenade. The still functioning device detonated on her and a few others around her. The device didn't kill her outright, instead breaking the bond between body and spirit, rendering her a ghost with a still living body. That was when she first saw her spirit guide, a white tiger. It was a short lived meeting, as her guide took the place of the bond between body and spirit, bringing her back to the physical plane of existence.

Unknown to her at the time this had caused her to merge with her guide, and soon would result in an ability to change between forms. Her first change happened after exposure to gold earlier in the same day she left her world. It cause a sharp pain and as it was the first time threw her into full tiger form, destroying her outfit. She was just coming to terms with what had happened to her when a migrant nabbed her.
