The original world was a solar system known as the Crystal Sphere, which had 6 earth-like planets. This universe was highly magical, with multiple civilizations on each of the planets. Tik-Tik and Ilyana originated on the world of Astroath, a jungle planet filled with lizardmen, wild magics and more importantly: dragons. This is where Ilyana spent most of her life- the first few hundred years awake and mothering many, many dragons and then the rest either sleeping, meddling in the kingdoms of the other planets or just participating on the great wars between the Astroath Dragons and the Solar dragons that lived in orbit of the star.

Tik-Tik isn't so much a name as it is a title that a Kobold takes on once the previous one passes away. The Tik-Tik is the herald, servant, butler and otherwise aide and advisor to the Dragoness. Over the years she has many Tik-Tiks, with the current one being the 15th in the line of work.

Ilyana had many, many individuals that have served with, along or under her over her lifetime in all the various types of work relationships one can imagine. None however have been as close as her personal cohort of 100. These kobolds are the most enchanted ones in the solar system and ones she considers as equals given their role in keeping her body alive. They live within her, quiet literally running through the giant dragoness' blood vessels and other organs to keep her running, taking care of everything before returning home to a pocket dimension that is tied to her five hearts. Here they live and prosper, growing through successive generations to serve the dragoness.

These kobolds all specialize in varying roles - and the most important of them is the Tik-Tik. Named after the first kobold that took the role, the Tik-Tik is the leader of the group, usually taken from the most charismatic of the bunch whom is entrusted not just with the dragoness' various secrets but also to be her right claw, her gold tooth, her sharpest wit.

Tik-Tik XIV's rise to the role was...unusual. His childhood after hatching was a tumultous one, where he was essentially the runt amongst the 100 - never truly fitting in. His physical weakness and sickly health saw him unable to truly specalize in any one role so he became more a jack of all trades - but one with a particular affinity for magic and the engineering of the dwarves that Ilyana worked with. Tik-Tik XIII spotted this early on and encouraged him to learn more - especially after many fortunes were lost in the dragoness' voyages in the multiverse to technological scams and one-sided deals due to the group's lack of understanding. Eventually Ilyana would take notice of this and after he saved her from an ambush when spotting the right warning signs, Ilyana declared he would become the next successor. After Tik-Tik XIII retired, he shed the old name of Short-Horn and took on the title of Tik-Tik XIV and has served Ilyana faithfully for the last 30 years.

A full set of knight-like armor, enchanted to be resistant (but not immune) to most elemental attacks. Enhances his combat ability, strength and reflexes immensely. Makes him like a little Xcom melee unit basically equivalent to 3x peak human capability.

A shield built out of adamantium by one of Ilyana's children. It is nearly indestructible, yet light enough for him to wield. Provides greater resistance to most elemental magics as well as resistance to telephatic / mind magics. Linked to his armor set - it's heavy weight applies no matter what size of creature is carrying it. It will always field unwieldy and heavy unless used with the enchanted armor set.

Picked up from the many journeys accross the multiverse, the universal translator is embedded into the kobold's right ear and acts as a backup in case translation magics do not work. Takes 2-3 hours to proper translate a spoken language. Does not work on text or visual oriented languages. Not as effective on languages that have a visual component like tail-speak.

A minor collection of charms, spell scrolls and potions to provide healing and other useful tools. These are all equivalent to non-combat cantrips at best, with the most common ones used as an example being Mage hand, Prestidigation and sparkling lights.

Tik-Tik's demeanor is vastly different from a normal Kobold. Where the rest of his peers tend to be chatty, loud and generally super social he is instead withdrawn, quiet and observant. He is surprisingly slow to react and excite, something that seeps into the dull monotone he usually speaks in. Though he is still a kobold at the end of the day, which means he is not immune to being quick to get frustrated or anger - though these flareups go just as quickly as they come on and tend to be more micro-hissy fits and complaining.
