Common Ground

Description:
Common Ground is a castle that has been built on the western shore of Lake Moriana. It draws from several architectural styles which gives it a sort of Hogwarts-fantasy appearance. It was largely constructed by Rockjaw the Crag Sunderer. It’s built large, to accommodate people of all sizes, up to dragon size for the main halls. The building is on an independent power grid, and is equipped with HVAC and all the amenities you could expect in a modern building, including accessibility and fire code considerations. The construction is very robust, with redundancies and room for expansion.

Near the main entrance is a teleportation plaza, where an aetheryte beacon is to be installed to allow easy teleportation to and from the castle. As-is, it is mainly accessible by boat.

Common Ground serves not only as an institute of learning, but a place of safety.

Layout

The building is a bit spartan as of yet, but as things get set up and jobs situated, it’ll become more lived-in. As mentioned, most of the hallways are fairly large to be accommodating for something as big as a dragon. There are also pathways for smaller folks to get around in, though the layout is not very compact.

In addition to the castle above ground, there is an extensive underground construction for labs (With thick walls for shielding), storage, infrastructure (such as power and water filtration), dormitories for staff and students, and extensive 'specialized housing' for larger or otherwise problematic-to-most-architecture citizens. This specifically includes, but is not limited to, dragons.

There is a connection point to the tunnels that Rockjaw the Crag Sunderer has built to serve as a subway connection, but as of yet no trains or tracks have been built to run this.

Storm would be an affiliated Researcher on staff and also semi-frequently run mini-classes of Magic Seminars. More rarely a full on magic course, but not one that is repeatedly available every year. The seminars/classes he runs are not age/grade specific, they're open to anyone qualified and/or able to take them.
