A skinny slight girl, blue eyes, red hair, freckles and pale skin. She looks younger than she really is. She typically wears baggy oversized second hand clothes. Usually of the boyish variety. She prefers keeping her hair short up to at most chin length. She typically has a fox tail, ears or tattoo-like markings in swirling nordic patterns down her forearms and calves, mimicking vulpine socks.

    Effect
    Being Fae, Alexa cannot actively lie and is bound to the letter of any promises made.
    Limits
    She doesn't need to be actively aware of when these promises are being invoked to be bound by them. This means that if she were to make such a promise she would be hurt by iron even if she wasn't aware it was iron. However, being a magical ability this can be blocked and it only extends to things she could be aware of if she were paying attention to that. She cannot use it to distinguish truth from lies for example.
    Repercussions
    Violations of promises cause an effect proportional to the nature of the violation. Inducing pain, paralysis or even physical harm. She may also owe a debt or feel the need to make up for it if the promise was to a person.
  • - Magical Interaction
    Effect
    She can make sense of and interact with magic around her. Doing so effectively requires time and familiarity with the type of magic and it's effects.
    Limits
    While she cannot cast spells of her own, she can take an existing spell and alter it's effects. Changing minor details of the spell like colour is easiest, however with time and effort she can render a spell down to it's base magical energy and build a wholly novel spell from that. If she were to acquire a source of raw magic she could mimic casting magic properly.
    She can much more easily simply rip a spell apart, effectively dispelling it. This doesn't require a particularly sophisticated understanding of the spell.
  • - Shapeshifting
    Effect
    She can freely change shape. This is easiest between her base forms of human and fox, and with some more effort she can transform others.
    Limits
    Limited to a size range of a mouse to a particularly large human, her transformations take concentration and time, from seconds between her base forms to minutes with large size discrepancies and when altering others. If interrupted transformations will remain unfinished for better or worse. While it requires familiarity she can 'fudge' the details, using approximately correct anatomy that looks right but might not be totally accurate. She also doesn't automatically learn the skills associated with the form such as flight, she'll have to learn that on her own.
    Altering others is far more difficult, taking time and requiring her to overcome their natural resistances. This means that the other usually has to consent or be unconscious. Under normal conditions major size differences will start to slowly wear off in a matter of hours, while minor alterations may last days or more. Proximity makes this easier, effectively limiting her to a range of a couple of meters.
  • - Glamour
    Effect
    She may conjure illusions in her immediate vicinity that fool the senses and even show up on recordings and sensors.
    Limits
    Her illusions cannot extend beyond a body length away from her. Depending on her form this may range from less than 10cm to a meter and a half. They only hast as long as she's paying attention to them.
  • - Seeming
    Effect
    She may imbue her illusions with the ability to have real-world effects. An illusory gust of wind may blow a door open, an illusory knife draw blood or illusory muscles move real bone.
    Limits
    Experiencing the same limits as regular illusions a seeming also needs a proxy, a stand-in object or set of objects that can be used to represent the object in question. A breath of air as a gust of wind, a stick as a sword or wickerwork as wings. The seeming also needs to stand the test of plausibility, if the illusion is seen for what it is, it won't have any effect.
  • - Somebody Else's Problem field
    Effect
    When she wants to be sneaky she may give off a cognitohazardous effect that makes it difficult for others to pay attention to her. This may range from someone being aware of her presence but having trouble describing her in any real detail or paying attention to what she is doing to others being entirely unaware of her presence.
    Limits
    The effectiveness of the SEP field is inversely proportional to how remarkable and obvious her presence is. Hiding in her human form within a crowd she'd be virtually impossible to spot, however if she were to try sneaking around a secure facility the SEP field would be much less effective. It's also important to note that she is not invisible, she will show up on recordings.

World Information:
Normal modern day earth.

Character Background:
Alex is a rural Swedish teen who grew up as the third child and only girl. With two older brothers and one younger one she ended up fitting right in as one of 'the boys', enjoying a healthy relationship with them and her father. They'd routinely go hiking, camping and hunting, usually all three at the same time. She was competent at hunting but preferred hauling along a sketchbook to take in the nature around them.

After completing highschool she was on her way down south to check out the big cities during her summer holiday and make up her mind on where and what she wanted to study. She never made it to her destination, a red breach gobbling her up along the way.
